Please read these terms carefully before registering for any race or using our platform. By purchasing an entry, you agree to these conditions, the event organizer rules, and the participant waiver.
1. Platform and Organizer Roles
Scope of services
Marathon Roster (operated by Create Solutions, owned and operated by My Source Co Ltd.) serves as the official digital registration platform, chip-timing system, and merchant portal for listed athletic events.
Each marathon, half-marathon, 10K, 5K, or fun run listed on our site is hosted and conducted by an event organizer. Marathon Roster facilitates registration collection, payment processing, participant communication, and result tabulation on behalf of the respective organizer.
2. Participant Eligibility & Health Waiver
Physical readiness and assumption of risk
Health Acknowledgement & Waiver of Liability:
Long-distance running entails inherent cardiovascular and musculoskeletal risks. By registering, you confirm that you are physically fit and adequately trained for your chosen distance. You voluntarily assume all risks of injury, illness, or property damage during event participation.
- Participants under 18 years of age must secure explicit parental or legal guardian waiver consent.
- Medical teams deployed along the race route reserve the ultimate authority to pull any runner from the course if deemed medically unfit to safely continue.
3. Registration Policy and Bib Numbers
Accuracy and non-transferability
Accurate Details: You agree to provide true, accurate, and current information when registering. Inaccurate birth dates or emergency contacts may invalidate your registration and timing awards.
Bib Transfers: Bib numbers are strictly personal and non-transferable without official organizer approval. Running under someone else's bib number compromises medical emergency tracking and will result in immediate disqualification from official timing rankings. Official bib swaps must be processed through the authorized administrative swap feature.
4. Payments, Convenience Fees & Refunds
Financial terms
Strict Non-Refundable Policy
Once registration is confirmed and paid, entry fees, optional add-ons, and shipping fees are strictly non-refundable under standard conditions.
Payment Methods & Fees
Online payments (GCash, Maya, Cards) include a standard payment processing convenience fee. Cash registrations must be settled within the organizer's holding deadline.
5. Race Kit Claiming & Delivery
Distribution terms
Onsite Claiming: For events with venue claiming, runners must present their confirmation email/SMS with QR code and valid ID during designated claiming schedules. Unclaimed kits after race day are considered forfeited.
Courier Shipping: For deliveries via J&T Express, accurate receiver address and active contact number are required. Failed deliveries due to invalid addresses or uncontactable recipients may incur re-delivery fees.
6. Chip Timing, Results & Disqualification
Rules of competitive standing
RFID Timing Chips: Your assigned timing chip is embedded on or attached to your bib. You must wear the bib visibly on your chest throughout the race. Tampering with or misplacing the timing chip will result in no recorded split or finish time.
Grounds for Disqualification: Shortcuts or course deviations, unsportsmanlike conduct, pacers on unapproved vehicles, or fraudulent GPS uploads for virtual events will trigger immediate DQ without appeal.
7. Weather Advisories & Force Majeure
Acts of God and event postponements
In the event of severe weather disturbances (e.g. PAGASA Typhoon Warning Signals), natural catastrophes, civil unrest, or local government executive orders, event organizers reserve the right to shorten routes, delay gun starts, or reschedule the event. In such cases of force majeure, registrations will be carried over to the rescheduled date.
8. Governing Law and Official Contact
Legal jurisdiction
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be submitted exclusively to the competent courts of the Philippines.
